S Parthi and S S Vasan are producing a film titled Singam Puli under the banner Silver Line Film Factory. Sai Ramani is directing this film which has Jeeva in dual roles. Divya Spandana and Honey Rose are the heroines of this film.

Santhanam will take care of the comedy. Mani Sharma is composing the music for the lyrics penned by Na Muthukumar, Vivega, Sai Ramani and Annamalai. Jeeva is the hero and also the villain in this film.

One will speak normal Tamil while the other will speak Madras Tamil. But when asked the director which one among these is the hero and villain, he said that is the suspense of the screenplay.

Vaanam

The much talked upcoming Tamil movie Vaanam has completed almost 90% of shooting and will be ready to release after shooting just parts of a song. The Simbu-Anushka starrer film is all set to release in February during the Valentine’s weekend.

Vaanam is a remake of Telugu movie Vedam, which was released in June this year. Silambarasan will play the role of Cable Raju, which was originally essayed by Allu Arjun. Anushka, who played the female lead in the Telugu version, will reprise her role in Tamil remake. Veteran Praksh Raj will also be seen in an important role in the film.

Some other actors like Bharath, Sneha Ullal and Vega will be seen in vital roles. The script of the film has undergone little change considering the taste of Tamil viewers. Vanaam has one mass kuthu song, which has been picturised on Simbu and Anushka.

Krish is directing the movie, which is being produced by R. B. Chowdary of Supergood Movies. Yuvan Shankar Raja has given music of the film.

Simbhu’s Vaanam will be released on February 3rd

The film Vaanam which has Simbhu and Anushka in the lead roles is to be released on 3rd February. Vaanam is the film in which Simbhu is acting after his super hit film Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya.

Anushka, Bharath, Sneha Ullal, Sonia Agarwal, Vega and Prakash Raj are also sharing the screen with Simbhu in this film. Krish is directing this film. The shooting of this film is in the final stages.

The film was expected to hit the screens on Pongal day. But the producer Ganesh has planned to the release the audio in the month of January and release the film in the month of February. It was also decided to release the film on February 14th.

But now there is also a change in this release date. The film is to be released on 3rd February. 3rd February also happens to be the birthday of Simbhu. The producer has planned to release this film on the occasion of Simbhu’s birthday.

A CD containing a single song sung by Simbhu and Yuvan Shankar Raja was earlier released. Now the audio CD of all the songs of this film is to be launched during the month of January.

Trisha opts out of her Telugu film!

Trisha has now chosen out of her Telugu filmBrindavanam with NTR, citing date problems. She has been substitute by Kajal Aggarwal,
who is riding wave in Telugu cinema following the stupendous box-office success of her Maghadheera with Ram Charan Teja.
But the grapevine is abuzz that there was pressure from her Bollywood hero Akshay Kumar and her mentor director Priyadarshan not to do any more south Indian films before the release of their Khatta Meeta. They feel that her south Indian image will affect the marketing of their film!
As of now Trisha has two films that are ready for release in south - Namo Venketasawith Venkatesh in Telugu and Vinnai Thandi Varuvaaya in Tamil opposite Silambarasan.

Pazhassi Raja postponed!

The Malayalam super hit epic Pazhassi Raja’s Tamil version featuring Mammootty and Sarath Kumar and directed by Hariharan, was to release this Friday (Nov 13), but has now been postponed!
